Mila Through the Ages
This series of historical costume renderings features self-portraits of me as women from different eras created as part of my studies in costume history. Each design is informed by research into period silhouettes, materials, and decorative traditions—from prehistoric fringe skirts to the ornate beaded dresses of ancient Egypt and the structured armor of Roman soldiers. These drawings reflect my fascination with how fashion reveals identity, status, and cultural values across time.
