Macbe(Nea)th - A Macbeth

Set in a post-apocalyptic Paris, this reinterpretation of Macbeth imagines a world where a devastating natural disaster has driven the population into the city’s underground catacombs. Struggling for survival and locked in a brutal conflict over scarce resources with a dominant upper class, the story’s characters are armed only with what remains of the past—bones pulled from the very tombs they now inhabit. Drawing inspiration from research on the Paris Catacombs and contemporary Parisian street photography, this design reimagines Shakespeare’s tragedy through a dystopian lens, blending historical remnants with future ruin.
